Cruise Ship in Patong Bay
Patong in Phuket is one of the most popular Tourist destinations in the world.
Through High Season and Peak Season, it is visited by many Cruise Ships from may countries, including Singapore, United Kingdom, USA, China and Russia.
Some of the Ocean Liners I have seen include Cunards Super liners, Queen Victoria, Queen Mary 2, Pando Arcadia, Costa Romanica, and Star CruisesSuper Star Virgo. The Queen Victoria is huge, stayed for a few days, and the passenegrs were a great friendly lot
There is no wharf, but a temporary pontoon is rigged up outside Phuket Travel and Tours office and kiosk at the south end of Patong Beach, so tourists can be "tendered" from the Cruise Ship into Patong, for Tours, sight seeing and SHOPPING!. If you are on a cruise that anchors in the bay, stop by and say Hi to us at the Tour Desk. It is outside the 7/11 Convenience Store, across the road from the "wharf". If you don't have one, ask us for a free Phuket Map
To access the pier, just walk on, no security if no boat. If you are parking a car, beware the local Taxi boys, who have somehow claimed ownership of any parking spaces. They can get aggressive, so don't antoaonise them.
